There are a lot of drunk guests laying around - thats a bit funny. The resort itself is clean, stuff is nice, food is good. I know that a better crisis management might be expensive - but its much more expensive, when the hotel management will lose their guests a la loungue. But the hotel could do much more efforts for removing the seaweed on their beach. We understand that the hotel is not capable of changing the main reasons of the massive seaweed. Its just about the seaweed mountains on the beach, that rot and spread toxic gas in the guests respiratory systems. They charge us ~520usd per night (in Akumal about 180usd less) For 520usd you can expect a better crisis management for a situation like this.

We went to the secrets maroma beach today at 9am and we did not see anybody working on the bad situation. But the Secrets Akumal stuff at least takes care for the seaweed removal every second (on the public beach access!!) There are always 4 - 8 people that work just for removing the seaweed. Unfortunately we changed the secrets resort yesterday, because we wanted to have a private hotel beach, which was not provided secrets Akumal. Their cleaning crew and turn down service made me excited to reenter the room each time.Disgusting beach seaweed situation in this resort!!! They provide everything you could need - needle and thread, mosquito spray, shower gel and shampoo that smelled sooooo good!. The room was beautiful! Spacious and just downright lovely.

Which is totally fine! The have constant entertainment happening around the property the nighttime shows were lots of fun. Otherwise, you're limited to eating outside. But, you men do need to wear long pants and shirts with sleeves if you want to go inside the dining room. There are 5 restuarants to choose from for a more formal dinner that included Italian, French, Mexican, and Pan-Asian cuisine. The servers are on it! There's also the Oceana restaurant in the middle of the property next to the pool if you prefer a casual sit down menu type lunch. The World Buffet at breakfast and at lunch had everything you can want. Everything is very clean and the food was divine. Beautiful grounds and very well maintained. We arrived several hours before check in and were told to enjoy the grounds. We were welcomed with lavender-infused cold wet towels and were quickly given champagne as we checked in. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left (sadly), we were made to feel special. The service is impeccable everyone is sooo kind and helpful.
